Shibui Rituals makes body-care cosmetics: products for the ritual of washing, the feel of skin, and the quiet confidence of close contact.

We describe KAKI in the lane it is made for: clean-feeling skin, a deliberate wash, and scent changes regular soap does not always solve. If a change feels sudden, unusual, or worrying, the right first step is a professional opinion, not a product page.

Ingredient transparency

Before anything ships, the complete INCI ingredient list for every product is published on its product page. The signature ingredient is Japanese persimmon (kaki) extract, prized for its natural astringency and long appreciated in Japanese bathing culture.

No hidden fragrance load, and no vague proprietary complex. You will know exactly what is in the bar before it reaches your bath.

Batch & lot

The Founding Batch is exactly what it says: the first numbered production run. Every kit in it is numbered and lot-marked, so you know precisely which run your bar came from, and so we can answer any question about it with certainty rather than approximation.

Testing intention

Stability and skin-compatibility testing are completed before any batch ships. Small-batch manufacturing is deliberate by design; we would rather move a ship window than move a standard.

If the window moves, you will be told promptly and plainly, and you may cancel for a full refund at any time before shipment.

Manufacturing

We produce in small batches with partners held to exacting cosmetic manufacturing standards. Small runs mean each batch can be watched closely, from raw ingredient to numbered kit, and refined between runs without compromise.
